Gentle Yoga (Friday and Saturday mornings 6:30- 7:30 am)

Gentle Yoga is a class structured to rejuvenate and heal the body. This class is held at a slower pace and focuses on stretching all areas of the body, while releasing stress and tension from joints and muscles. All levels of experience are encouraged to join.

Tai Chi (Saturday and Sunday mornings 6:30- 7:30 am)

T’ai Chi exercises are choreographed into a routine that helps not only improvement and maintenance of physical health but also helps to improve memory and mental acuity. 

Campus recreation

The University of New Orleans is a beautiful campus located on Lake Pontchartrain with paths as well as an outdoor track for walking or jogging.

There is also a campus swimming pool located near our National Gathering Lodging (Privateer Place) that is free and accessible, however no lifeguard is on duty.

The campus houses a full service fitness center (Gymnasium) that charges $10/day for drop in visits or $25/week. All gym users must present a photo ID to enter the facilities. Lockers are free, however there is a $1.00 towel use fee.

NOTE: Gym passes are not transferable!

Other amenities

Our lodging for the Gathering is at Privateer Place, campus apartment housing. All units include two private bedroom and bathrooms, and a common area for sitting and a kitchenette. Your onsite registration packet will include a list of local grocery stores for those wishing to shop for additional food staples. NOTE: your registration fee includes all breakfasts, lunches and snacks. We will also host a dinner on Friday evening and a party with heavy Hor D’oerves on Saturday night.

Privateer Place also has a laundry facility. Washing machines and dryers are coin operated. The cost of a laundry card is $5.
